What will Tend be like?
Your ticket includes a social hour and reception with drinks and heavy appetizers, followed a cabaret-style program with performances by local artists.
Tend will be a celebration of our mission and an opportunity for you to invest in resources for LGBTQ+ organizations and movements throughout the Northwest.
Where is the event?
We'll gather at the Alaska Native Heritage Center. The address is 8800 Heritage Center Drive, Anchorage, AK 99504.
What time does Tend begin?
Doors open at 6:30PM for a social hour. Visit with friends and enjoy heavy appetizers before we’re seated for our program at 7:30PM.
What type of food and drinks will be served?
We will feature heavy appetizers and food stations, including dessert. There will be gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian food options available. Our hosted bar will include beer, wine, a specialty cocktail, and nonalcoholic beverages.
What should I wear to Tend?
Sparkles & Rainbows, bring out your finest Pride cocktail wear.
How do I get to the venue?
The Alaska Native Heritage Center is located at 8800 Heritage Center Drive in Anchorage, around a 7 minute drive from the Tikahtnu Commons.
Driving: From the Glenn Highway, exit at North Muldoon Road. From Tudor Road, drive east on Tudor, which becomes Muldoon Road. Continue driving straight over the Glenn Highway and then take the first right. (You will see an Alaska Native Heritage Center Sign.) Keep driving a bit further until you reach our parking lot, where we have ample parking including reserved Elder parking.
By bus: You can also reach the center by taking the #25 bus from the downtown transit center. There is a one mile walk from the bus stop to the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
Can I bring children?
This event is appropriate for adults and teens.
Is Tend accessible?
ADA compliance (and beyond) is a top priority. From the entrance lobby floor, there is a ramp that goes behind the stage to the main floor or to the Gathering Place. There are restrooms in the Lobby and on the main floor. Additionally, if you need mobility assistance to make your visit easier or more comfortable, need language or translation assistance, or have any other accessibility needs, please email giving@pridefoundation.org.
Will there be photography or videography at the event?
Attendance at this event implies consent to be photographed and/or videotaped. These visual recordings may be utilized for future promotional purposes, including but not limited to the Pride Foundation website, social media platforms, and printed materials.
